I imagine the extra galley room made it easier to serve the larger cabin as well.
Many years ago I booked a 767 positioning flight to IST, shorty before the aircraft was due to be withdrawn from service. Having never flown in one before I was dissapointed that a month before departure it was swapped for an A320. Fortunately when I boarded the aircraft it had been swapped again to a mid haul A321. The throne seat was a great experience on a 4hr flight, shame BA don't fly them any more.
