My brother lives in Scottsdale, and we don't see him much, so there's that, but primary goal is to veg at the resort. This has been a rough year, so we need that. That el Conquistador seems awesome for when the kids are 4+, but looks like the Kierland has more for the under 3s. Good to know for the future though.
The Westin Kierland is ok... I've been to events there, and it was great when it first opened. That area is a bit busy now.
Have you considered JW Marriott Desert Ridge? I've also been to events and stayed there. It has a lazy river and would probably be good for smaller kids.
