Just returned from 2 weeks in Paris. Since there are so many perils and bad experiences in flying these days, just wanted to report that Polaris is truly a wonderful product. I generally fly Virgin-Atlantic to Europe, but got a good price and convenient timing on SFO-CDG so booked United. They still have the high stack of 'Saks 5th Avenue stuff' on the seat, making boarding a bit of a challenge. You have to put it all in the overhead just to get settled in. But everything else was great. Super crew, professional and welcoming. The seat itself is extremely comfortable, very adjustable ... very important to me because I can't sleep much more than an hour, no matter how long the flight. Don't remember the food, so it must have been fine. The sparkling wine was ice cold ... much more important than the meal! Both flights were on time. I'm really glad to see that, despite the incredibly botched launching of Polaris way back when, United has made all their promises come true.
