If the plane has to land normally anyway, why not just continue to destination and do it there, if there are no signs of trouble? An abundance of caution?
You don’t know the amount of damage and it’s near the aft pressure bulkhead. Blowing that out at 35,000 feet might lead to a loss of the aircraft.
