Aeroflot has incresed the mile price for all international award tickes on their own metal by 2-4 times (some connections - 6 times!!), making spending miles on those effectively pointless.
Intra-Russia award ticket prices in Y (in miles) were partially increased by 20-60%, partially remained the same.
С class is now double the mile price of Y class, not 1,5-1,7 as before.
MOW - IST was 10000 miles OW, now 30000 miles (in С - was 15000 miles, now 60000 miles), plus taxes and fees.

Moreover, they now charge mile price separate for each segment, not for the route as a whole.
This means that on itinerary like SVX - MOW - IST which was 10000 miles OW in Y plus taxes and fees - is now 46000 miles plus taxes and fees. In C, it was 15000 miles - mow 92000 miles (plus approx $200 fees).

As I see it, they don't want people to spend miles on international routes, where regular ticket prices are very high now.
And they don't feel that the program needs to remain competitive - as it now basically a program for internal use in Russia only.
