I did encounter some trouble with "Claiming Missing Miles" through the CX website.
I traveled on AA on the 1st, 4th, and 10th of April, 2023, and the points and miles are still missing when I am writing this thread.
Of course, we all know that CX had workforce issues on hotlines, so I decided to submit my claim online. I submitted my application on 14 Apr 2023 for three different sectors (2 AA and 1 AA operated by Qatar). The website shows I had successfully submitted my three applications.
On 2 May, I didn't receive any update on my 1st and 4th April flights (the 4th April flight shows my status on the printed ticket, and the check-in agent confirmed I had my CX membership placed). I called the hotline, and they said according to the system, I DID NOT hand in any submission to claim missing miles. I have to go through the process again by sending emails to the obsoleted email (
[email protected]) through instructions from the hotline agent.
The hotline agent also confirmed there is no phone, email, SMS update, or alert even though the website shows I submitted successfully on the CX website, but it failed for some reason.
If you claim missing points and miles, you better chat with the hotline or through WhatsApp.
