Anyone having issues buying MOs at Walmart?
Today's dp: I went to the cashier to buy a MO. I did not even say the amount before she said 'we don't accept GCs'. I ignored her and proceeded. Before swiping the cards, I said I wanna do split payments and she said 'no GCs' again, which was when I gave up. I have not even shown her my card or touched the POS.
I am not too worried about this because apparently she is just told not to accept GC transactions. I would go again and take my chances on another cashier. But I do want to know:
1. Is the new protocol only adopted by the cashier(which is likely to be forgotten within months), or is the POS also set to reject GCs (much bigger problem),
2. Any successful dps using GCs to buy MO?

GCs are still working at WM with the known limitations on certain flavors of gift card (all such details posted earlier in this thread)
Top tip - If WM CSR says no gift cards even before you start, you should walk away. Once you swipe they will watch like a hawk and ask to see the card. Then cancel the transaction. Zero chance of getting a multi-swipe in that situation.
By forging ahead all you will succeed in doing, is burn your face into their memory meaning they will be on the lookout for you in future. Worse, they might start to tell other CSRs to watch out for you. Before you know it you can get no MO.
Far better walk away, come back later to a different CSR and should be BAU. In the event that multiple CSR are asking, its likely a management dictat, so probably best to give it a rest for a couple of months until it all dies down.
