No, I actually booked both of these myself online easily through TableCheck. Funny enough, I was originally staying at the Westin Kyoto and their concierge was useless/non-responsive which led me to booking these myself. Since I only switched to the PH Kyoto last second due to points availability opening up, I actually didn't use their concierge other than requesting reservations for the Suntory Whiskey tour which they never replied too. On the other hand, PH Tokyo and Andaz Tokyo concierges were amazing and helped me get tough to get reservations.
