Has anyone checked one on an airplane? I think I did so years ago but curious if anyone else has any experiences or tips. Don't mind the weight or carrying it around, just don't want it to pop open and dump contents. probably going to throw a luggage strap on it. made sure to use ones with the flush handles vs the handle that sticks out and could maybe shear off.
I'd be concerned as to the plastic case structural integrity. 50 year old plastic may be extremely brittle with age.
