We started putting my husband's AA Gold/one world ruby number on his AS reservations because of the free bags and elite/exit row seats. Neither of us have status with AS any longer.

Back in February, we flew PDX/SNA. I earned 859 miles on AS (actual miles), while he earned 1,204 miles to his AA account. More than me. No complaints.

But last week, we both flew EUG/SEA and back. I got 500 AS miles for the trip (234 + to make 500). While he only got 83 miles. Period. Not even the actual miles flown.

Any idea why this would be the case? One way was Saver fares, but the return was NOT, but he still got only 83 miles for each.
