We actually have a night in Honolulu first and we’re planning on taking an early flight getting in around 7:30am. We would have to run the bags to the hotel to drop them so our crap doesn’t get stolen so that’ll an an extra hour but hopefully still early enough to beat the worst of the crowds to Hana. If we can’t get tickets for the summit the next day we’ll just switch the drive to Hana to that day and have a more leisurely first day. Shouldn’t be too bad either way because our bodies will still be 3 hours off so it’ll be like waking up at a normal time for us even with a 6:45am flight.
