I don't get why airlines should be required to seat children (under 13) with parents. Seems like if you want that level of seating, you reserve in advance. If that became a requirement, who would pay for it? All the other passengers.
By the way, I love for parents to sit with their children. I just think that's something they need to plan for by booking in advance.
