Last winter I stayed at Ritz, then Andaz, back to back. You should stay at both. I do think the Ritz has a few good aspects - the three tier pool system is pretty good and provides great views, I liked the Beach Bar restaurant, breakfast buffet is fine, nice views from many of the rooms, and I actually liked the Banyan Tree restaurant. I do think the general area of Kapalua is beautiful and merits some time. However I preferred Andaz - much better beach setup, breakfast is great for Globalists, Morimoto seems nice (though we had to cancel our reservation), great pools, etc.
