We got proactively upgraded to Conrad Suite King T-72 from Deluxe King Ocean Front. Despite being in a separate building are the suites worth it? I'm asking primarily b/c I wanted to hang out at a balcony a bunch while overlooking the ocean. I assume we can always ask for a downgrade and keep our original room. Curious to hear how people feel about these two types of rooms. So far I have to say that contact has been very proactive. Since we're landing very late we'll just take a house car to the hotel.
just contact them in advance on whatsapp and explain that you want an ocean view room.
suites are very spacious and also have a balcony to hang out - but almost all suits at the separate suite wing don't have ocean view.
anyway - there are lots of cabanas with ocean view close to the beach where you could also hang out privately - and being served by the azure bar staff. when I was there a few days ago the hotel was very lightly booked - not many people around at the pools and the beach. chances are high to secure a beach cabana.
