Has anyone stayed at the newly branded JW? Online reviews seem to be missed but also seem to be mostly from before it officially re-flagged.
Property is still going through renovations. Lobby, restaurant, 6th floor, and common areas have generally been redone and look really nice, but some of the lower rooms are still the old style (these are the ones in photos shown in the app for the most part). No proactive upgrade in advance. As a plat they had no issue with early check-in but I agreed to wait to hold out for a suite upgrade (older style, not a renovated suite, which understandably would go to those with higher priority). There's a small lounge with bartender service and 3 hot apps + some cold apps for evening service. Breakfast is served in the restaurant instead. Rate was cheaper than the regular Marriott so it was a no-brainer. Location is great and most tourist spots are within a 20 min walk. Service was good ("would you like me to show you to the lounge" and "can I show you to your room", etc). Better than usual service you would expect in Western Europe IMO.
