I have been at the top tier since about 2007. Other than the upgrade vouchers and not having to pay the change fee (I’ve rarely used that benefit) the rest of the programme is fairly mediocre. My bug bear is the lack of free seat assignment. I think at least when Check In opens EI should permit Concierge members to sit anywhere bar Row 1. It’s crazy that if you want to sit anywhere in rows 2-13 you need to pay. If EI could sort this I would be happy. Finally, in my experience, once you are onboard, your status is never recognised when travelling around Europe (maybe it’s different Transatlantic).
