I won't need the SIM card at all in HK, it was just the most convenient way to fly to China since it was a bit of a last minute trip.
I thought u will drive the car by your own. You will be fine with a driver.
Can't tell you anything about the speed of the card, she didn't perform a speedtest. Whatsapp and Google was always accessible, but at one situations in the middle of the (chinese) night there was a delay of ~15 seconds, so it was impossible to had a video call that time. At other times video calls was fast with no delay.
We uploaded her passport for the Real Name Registration but KYC status was set to "refused" in the mobile matter app. We tried that a couple of times but her status remained as refused. But actually she was able to use this card in hongkong, too. Her colleague bought the same eSIM but didn't try the Real Name Registration and was unable to use his card in HK, but it worked in mainland. So maybe her correct KYC status just wasn't recognized by the Mobilematter App.
You need to receive a SMS for the Real Name Registration and Mobilematter wrote that you have to be in HK to start the Real Name Registration, but the eSIM also connect in Germany, so we started the Registration process from here.
