The newer Canyon Suites portion has really great rooms and better service, though is further from the family pool.
Other choices are the Hyatt Gainey or the Westin Kierland, both of which have waterpark-style pools and are relatively decent hotels. I personally am not a big fan of the Four Seasons and think there are better options especially with kids. I am a Phoenix native, and have stayed at various times at all of these.
Thanks, I'll look at those. The Hyatt Gainey was our number 1 pick, and that's of anywhere domestic closer to the east coast than California, and then we found out starting in June it will be under renovation and all water facilities will be closed. I can remember $250/night rates at the Phoenecian, so I can't stomach their current $750 rate. I didn't realize the Biltmore had a family friendly aspect. The points rate is fair enough, the Kierland even more so. if it's between those two, is the Biltmore the clear winner?
