Managed to switch to AF7 (older 1-2-1 77W). Anything is better than NEV4!
At first, the lady at JFK check in argued that NEV4 aircrafts haven’t been to New York in recent times “we don’t have the old business class serving NY” but was later surprised to see NEV4 on the seat map.
She also said that even though AF15 is meant to exclusively be new J, for the last two weeks it’s seen a mix of 772, new J and now the one off NEV4 as well. There have be a lot of last minute on the day of departure swaps.
Glad to have dodged that bullet !
They dupped me on, i think it was AF22, on Feb 24. It had shown the new seat configuration up until I walked on the plane. We never got a notification of a plane swap. They had actually kept me and my daughter in the same seat numbers so we were now a single in two different rows. But the opposites of us were a mother/daughter pair, so worked out to trade.
I was upset, but the old 2-3-2 is one of my daughter's favorite seats she has flown, surprisingly. she can't stand the AF middle version (BEST) seats because the seat belt seems to be positioned in a placement that really bothers her and it is huge. We still haven't made it on a flight with the new seats, but hope we can make it work on flights we have booked in June. But I seem to be on AF14 , band i see the La Premiere seats on the map. Though she would trade anything for Delta One with or without doors. And I agree with her on that.
