Not sure if there's much point going to Augsburg (why, even?), since you have to bactrack to Munich to catch a train to Augsburg.

Also, is there a train pass that would cover trips between the airport and Augsburg (i.e. is there a Bayern ticket or something?)
There is literally a Bayern ticket https://www.bahn.com/en/offers/regio...et-for-bavaria

It doesn't cover ICE or EC trains, though, only regional trains, which makes your potential connection to Augsburg even longer...
