A fixed price journey — if agreeing to that before going —from Malmo to Sturup isn’t a bad deal compared to what some intra-Malmo taxi rides cost, but it takes quite a bit to get me to consider using MMX instead of CPH when coming from Malmo. I even try to avoid Flygbussen when using public transit since Flygussen costs a separate ticket in addition to the public transit system ticket/fare.
Funny you mention taxi. Wasn’t Skanetrafiken (i.e. the southern Swedish public transport company) providing included taxi-on-order service for the final leg of public transport ticket journeys to get to one of the Sturup area hotels when using a Skanetrafiken ticket that covered the zones being traveled?
The first few times I ran into a taxi-included service from Skanetrafiken, I was surprised they had it. I felt sort of bad about using the taxi-included service — when pre-booked with Skanetrafiken — since there was no way they were making money off me given we were doing so with the Skanetrafiken “summer cards” with unlimited Skane regional travel.
I had no idea about Skanetrafiken let you take taxi. We usually drove to MMX as where we used to live door to door from home to MMX was literally 20 mins max. Plus MMX parking is 25% of what CPH charges.
Denmark used to have something like that - when they couldn't find a connection for you. But they quietly cancelled it - it was useful to get to the nearest train station and then to CPH.
