I'm pretty bitter about losing a massive sum of Gold Rewards points and about Hertz's atrocious customer service and hideous unhelpful website where you can't easily see your points in the first place....so --

if I was to collect miles instead, I'm wondering which airline or hotel partner program offers the best value, or if this is subject to ongoing change based on various special offers, anyone know the best place to keep an eye on these things? I have been searching for a relevant thread but can't find anything so far. I have accounts with pretty much everyone so I want to just get the best bang for my buck each rental.
