I was thinking the crew bags should be placed near where the crew are seated. Passengers in first class who cannot place their bags where they are seated hold up the boarding process as they make their way back to their seats after finding somewhere to stow their luggage, and similarly for disembarking they wade back to get their carryon when folks are trying to leave the plane, so to your point this is going to slow down crews who are trying to make their connections.
