We're going there in two weeks so I will report back but I can say that the pre-arrival contact is so far very positive. I attach current restaurant price lists. I'm pretty sure that we won't partake and it feels a bit scammish I really liked what Ritz Kyoto did for us some years ago where we went out on a tour with one of the guides and she just randomly snapped a photo of us at the top of the hike and then we were given it framed as a departure gift. Felt much more spontaneous and "extra".

Also for Bali goers, Grab/Bluebird ok between Ubud and major beach resorts? We're starting with Conrad and ending with Andaz and the Ritz is quoting us about 100 USD for transport. Seems a bit steep given what I read about prices in Bali but I don't know if one can easily arrange transport between Ubud and the beach resorts.
