Normally the odd wedding doesn't impact me at all but gets on your nerves if there is a total take over of the hotel and other guests are left in the cold...
That's a good reason to inquire before hand to assess the situation on specific staydates
Also, if it isn't a total buyout then facilities usage will (usually) be affected and you'll have noise problems into the wee hours of the morning. Avoid Alila Uluwatu (Hyatt) for wedding events and buyout hell. That hotel is infamous for leaving guests hanging and not really trying to compensate or rebook them in alternate accomodations.
The Belmond looks like a decent resort with a small number of keys. A lot of touches remind me of my previous stay at Belmond Yangon Governors Residence.
