Interestingly enough, after searching for SNU options at the Fairmont Montreaux, it doesn’t show the error message “hotel not participating in SNU” anymore. Rather, the hotel claims SNU are not available for the specific date. But they are just playing the same game like Raffles Paris, I tried many dates (again 1-night, weekdays). The hotel is happily selling all suite categories, but of course SNUs are never available.
If Accor let’s them get away with it, I guess more hotels will catch up on this and make SNUs permanently unavailable or just on dates where business is super-slow.
95% of my Accor stays are with Raffles, Fairmont and Banyan Tree - I wish they would have their own loyalty program instead of belonging to Accor
Well, the hotel stated to me that it exited the SNU program and the list is not updated yet. This was already a few months ago and the list is still not updated. Nevertheless, I was quadruple updated for my last stay to a nice suite anyway. But I visited the property more than 20 times the last 5 years.
