Was able to snag a non-stop YYZ-CDG flight in Air Canada business less than the lower end of the dynamic pricing range of 60k (57.9k to be exact) which had me feeling blessed. Not sure if it's because it's a last minute type booking or because of the protests going on in France right now, but when checking today, point redemption has gone up to 397k for the same flight so I'm grateful for what I was able to book it for.

Cash price for the same flight seems quite high to me at $7230, but on the bright side made me feel even better about the value I got out of it.

It will be my 1st flight on the 777-300ER so very much looking forward to it!

Anyone have favourite seats they recommend?
Perhaps Air Canada pulled a Nostradamus, knew what was going to happen & hence the cheap redemption. But I am currently still at Terminal 1 for this flight after a 5 hour delay🫣 new departure time is 12:30am which they have changed 3 times already!😴

Here is the reason:
Your flight AC872 to Paris is delayed due to the availability of the aircraft scheduled to operate the flight and will now depart at 23:15 from Gate E76. We apologize and are working to get you on your way.

I am now definitely going to miss my secondary flight with Iberia (booked seperately). From what I'm reading, looks like I can potentially get some compensation from Air Canada for the delay, seeing as the delay was not weather or mechanical related. Anyone have experiences with this?

Overall not too shook, had a chance to check out the MLL for the 1st time and looking forward to checking out the lie flat seats on the flight..more-so feel bad for the suckers in economy! (Which used to be me my entire life)
