My flight today was affected by weather delays. But it was diverted, about 150 miles from its destination, because “we don’t have enough fuel for the approach to” the destination airport.
It arrived at the diverted airport 2 1/2 hours late and (as per the app) is scheduled to arrive 5 hours late at the original destination.
I gave up and am currently onboard Amtrak to the destination, and I’ll arrive home $390 poorer and 6 1/2 hours later (this was my choice).
But since AA didn’t load enough fuel, any compensation?

I’d assume some miles for the inconvenience, but not much beyond that seeing as 1. The delay was weather 2. They loaded enough fuel for the
anticipated route 3. The Amtrak was your choice.
My apologies, though. That sounds like a hellish day.
