Egregious use of overhead space by crews last night on LAS-LAX flight. Two pilots put their insulated bags above 1E/F and their bags above 2E/F and 3E/F and then moved back to sit in coach. Passangers arrived to sit in 1E and 1F and had to take their bags back to row 7. 2E had to put their bag above 3A/4A. 1A had to put their personal item above row 3. Not sure of cascading effect further back.
Good may lead the way but not with overhead bin space by crew.
It’s a tough call. I don’t like it either, but the bags have to go somewhere and I’d prefer if they don’t check bags (unless their NRSA or NRSP). I’ve been in the situation a few times where we have to wait for a crew member from another flight; it would be a pain if they have to recover a checked back.
