It's always a mix of considerations. For west coast to SE Asia, I find SQ an excellent choice, despite the stingy earnings. Have been able to mix paid J booking for me with miles booking (either KF or AS) for my partner. I certainly prefer SQ J to JL J, and CX has generally priced itself out of the game.
