- Ritz-Carlton - very friendly staff, cozy design, fluffy bed, delicious breakfast
- W - very friendly staff, nice bed, a tad worn
- Renaissance - nice suite, nice staff, nice breakfast
- Marriott - nice staff, a bit older, lots of heart despite cleanliness issue that was resolved well
- Sheraton - very traditional, comfortable
- AC - nice suite, nice macarons, great shower breakfast upsell more expensive than the RC is a deal breaker
I agree. The RC staff in Santiago are extremely friendly, especially in the lounge, they try and get to know you and recognize you each time you come in. The lounge has a great spread for breakfast and dinner/snacks and while I didn't take advantage, other guests had made-to-order omelets from the first floor restaurant brought to them. Great drink selection as well. I love the old-school look of the bar in the lobby as well.
The W is nice, but definitely a tad worn and very loud from what I remember. I should note the first time I stayed at the RC in Santiago it was pre renovations so I would have said the same thing about it then. However, they redid a lot of the rooms and its definitely a nice warmer feeling and look.
