Does anyone have experince whether Air Asia usually weight cabin baggages before boarding? I'm planning to travel with them soon and wondering wheter I should just buy checked baggage in advance.

I travel with backbag which on my experience does not get weighted with European flag carriers or LCCs even if trolley bags get. Still Asia might be different.

My aim is not to cheap out but just to keep my bag safe and with me. I'm prepared to check the bag on airport if required, but would prefer not to. 7 kg is however ridiculously low restriction.
