I went to check in for tomorrow's flights (TUS-DEN-IAD) and was offered buy-ups to F for ~$700. Re-faring the ticket to F is only a delta of $499 over the Y fare. Not sure how that logic worked. Maybe they were pricing the two segments separately to come up with the $700 buy-up.
