Correct, I decided to try the HP Kyoto for 2 days coming up as the reviews seem very nice and my rate was about $100/night just to see how it is. I will transfer to HR Kyoto and come up with a conclusion as my base for Kyoto/Osaka in the future.
As great as PH Kyoto was, hard to pay for CAT8's + 3000 yen breakfasts when I don't plan on staying in the area much, especially the distance to train station.
