As the others have said, that's plenty of time at JFK since you'll be arriving into and departing from T8.
Since it's a domestic-international connection you don't need to go through customs or security either.
I wouldn't worry about missing the connection and in the unlikely event that you do, AA be responsible for arranging an alternative flight for you.
