A question on CIV number, on my most recent delayed flight from JFK>LHR, I tried my luck asking the lounge attendant what my CIV was, surprisingly she told me it was 41. I thought this was odd as I am only Silver, with 745 tier points (925 after this trip credits my account). My understanding is that silver was capped at 35?



To add I have done a fair amount of flying on BA this year because of work, about 20 flights / 10 returns so far, mostly to the US on the LHR > JFK route. Not sure if this is relevant. I usually fly WTP, but I’ve been upgraded 3 times to CW amazingly. Just wandering if it’s all just luck of the draw or wether I am inadvertently doing something efficient for CIV progression! I am expecting to hit gold this year, but I only have 1 more short haul flight in my bookings at this point.
