My flight today from MAN-LHR was meant to be ontome if it wasn’t for a few stragglers and one passenger deciding at the last minute they the didn’t want to fly resulting in more delays getting their bags off.

All this plus holding over LHR meant that we landed nearly an hour late.

My point is that you just don’t know what could happen on the day.
