A bit offtopic ... but a proof of how the power of advertising deliberately directs tourist flows not necessarily to the best option ...

- The CAT journey from Wien Mitte (the train station opposite Hilton) to the Airport takes 16 minutes and costs 14.90€, there are 2 trains per hour between 6am and 11pm
- The S7 / REX journey from Wien Mitte (same train station, just different platform, actually closer to Hilton) to the Airport (again same station, different platform) takes 20 to 22 minutes (depending on the number of intermediate stops) and costs 4.30€, there are up to 4 trains per hour between 4am and 1am (and in most of the cases these are newer and more comfortable)
- Alternatively, RJ / RJX journey from Wien Hauptbahnhof (the "main" train station, close to Belvedere) to the Airport (same platform as S7 / REX) takes 15 to 17 minutes (purely schedule driven) and also costs 4.30€, with 2 trains per hour between 5am and 12am.
- There are also different bus options available, with special low-floor vehicles in use and with devoted space for storing luggage - price starts at 8€, journey time starts at 20 minutes, but it all depends on where from around Vienna you take the bus.
