From a friend who works at SYD, he said TK hasn't even entered any kind of negotiation to fly into SYD. IF anything, TK might start with MEL.

Can't they fly to Perth and then re-fuel there? Would a A350 handle IST-PER-MEL/SYD-PER-IST?
