It is worth noting that the link above says

We are excited to introduce IHG One Rewards, a program that offers the opportunity to earn and redeem points across 18 hotel brands at more than 6,000 IHG hotels and resorts around the world. In addition, in the coming months, as an IHG One Rewards member, you can earn IHG One Rewards points when you stay at Iberostar Beachfront Resorts hotels.
Does not call out the ability to redeem points at iberostar hotels, just earn them, as well as "earn and redeem points across 18 hotel brands".

This is reinforced in the FAQ
What are the advantages of being a member?

With the IHG One Rewards program, members can earn points, get access to special rates and offers, and late check-out. IHG One Rewards Elite members get even more benefits including additional bonus points, welcome amenity, Milestone Rewards, and more.
Again no mention of redeeming points.
