But…thats almost not even the point here.
An unruly individual not in a proper physical/mental state to fly that is not complying with crew instructions over Gander is one issue. If this occurred over 30 West or on descent into TLV within the Iron Dome we now have a whole other set of problems to deal with at extremely critical times of the flight.
Perhaps you’d like to share details here and put the speculation to rest? Because from my perspective, I see a passenger who probably needed to sit down due to health or mobility reasons taking a rest in the closest seat to the lavatory they found who was then confronted, probably unnecessarily and in a likely hostile manner over it, and who pushed back, voices were raised, possibly in an animated manner, which is likely cultural, and the crew overreacted.
This appears especially obvious since no one on the ground opted to pursue the matter
