New club lounge opened this past week at this property. Similar to an M Club. Fairly spacious in size, esp. relative to other Renaissances at which I've stayed. What stood out about this lounge was 1) the staff seemed to be making an effort to serve the guests and 2) the dessert service included full size slices of cake and cheesecake.
Breakfast was eggs/bacon/chicken apple sausage/oatmeal, with fruit and deli meat/cheese. Starbucks coffee (not espresso) machines, soda/milk/water and snacks (Nutrigrain bars, Miss Vickie's, and individual bags of the property's own snack mix) seem to be available during all hours the club is open.
On the whole, the lounge was consistent with what you would reasonably expect from a Marriott property pre-Covid. Significantly better than most lounge experiences I have had post-Covid.
Stayed here last week. Lounge was great and, as you said, the staff there were really friendly and helpful. It was spacious and calm and my family and I retreated there multiple times during our stay. It was also self-service entry, so no one gave me a hard time about limiting access to member + 1.
In general I found the staff at this property very nice. I stayed on points/FNAs. My SNA cleared into a suite (really just a large room with a L-shaped sectional with a sleeper and small bar area), they were able to let me check in by 11am and I had no trouble with a 2pm checkout. And this was while the property was very busy with a conference going on there.
I was quite happy with the stay. Location is pretty decent also.
