I always find it bizarre that people immediately jump on the 'lets blame UA' bandwagon. Despite not knowing any details, let alone having logged a single hour as part 121 pilot or understand the calculus that goes into a making a divert call. This thread should have ended when clubord posted above, with heavy emphasis on the last sentence of that post. As they stated there is much more to the story. If or when that information comes out then this thread can continue.
