Eco segments on CRWSTAR 1/2/3

I have a CRWSTAR1 coming up in late January, my flight YYZ-YVR is booked in "C" accordingly, but I have also a segment YVR-YYJ in Eco. I know that this is only a 39 miles flight, but my question applies to all AC flights within a *A RTW on which no "C" is offered:

I remember from my past *A RTW's that these Eco segments were booked in Y (and I received 25% COS), now my TA told me that AC and UA changed their policy and these flights have to be booked in "H" on AC and "B" on UA , which would be the "next lowest *A RTW booking class", as he put it. "H" belongs to the "FUN-fares" which only earn 50% status miles, but I technically do not buy a "FUN-fare", but a biz RTW-fare. Has anybody heard of this change? Do I get at least 100% status miles because my flight is part of an international itinerary or do I only get 50% status miles?
