Not if you add the other pax as 'new passenger' and just type in the name and no FF number.

In addition, to the excellent comments above, if he is one to check the account regularly then he might notice some of his avios are gone as an HHA booking will take avios from all members of the HHA.
Only for a reward booking - I took 'purchased' to be a revenue booking.
