As it was said in one anecdote - 'Don't mix tourism with immigration'.

The reality behind the glamour picture of Singapore is rather different. You will notice certain things quite soon when moving to Singapore and starting living as a local (however it will be rather quite difficult because it is persistently encouraged that foreigners live in their own bubble with their own social circle and not get interested in local affairs).
