$1100 was top of the line - one person's own suite. But a citizen would not pay even a fraction of that - it would be paid from CPF funds, so effectively it would be free stay.

If you think $1100 is too much, I can pull actual receipts, but in about 2014 my wife had the same day three-hour surgery at a private hospital

It was $17000. for one-day surgery with local anesthesia. Fortunately, splitting that across three insurance policies, it was covered by 90%, we paid $1700 out of pocket.

Good morning, Captain Obvious. Why don't you look at Gigi Coefficient for Singapore and take a look at how many Maseratis and Ferraris are parked at a new condo launches events, while 80 y/o are working as cleaners at hawker centers.
