Travelin in Spain now, Apple Pay works everywhere, not a new thing though..
But while I most try to use CC instead of cash, I see that some ATMs have a contactless card readers.
So I tried a couple of them, one was a BBVA ATM and it presented a withdraw screen, letting me withdraw €40 without receipt.
No prompt for PIN.
However, before I completed the transaction, it presented a screen €7 fee.
I have the Schwab Investor Checking and I was using a debit card for that account. So although Schwab would reimburse the fees, I didn't go through with it. Seemed silly to pay €7 for a €30 or €40 withdrawl
Tried to look for another contactless ATM just to try it but it was €7 on the 2 or 3 I tried. I did find one which was only €4 fee tough.
Has anyone completed an ATM withdrawal in contactless mode in Europe or anywhere else?
Without ridiculous fees?
