Stayed here for 1 night recently, and was VERY impressed by the lobby, but very disappointed in the room.

+ Beautiful lobby with numerous koi fish ponds, waterfalls, and floor-to-ceiling windows. They clearly spent a loooot of resources on the lobby, and unfortunately not on the rooms.
+ Easy parking, both covered and uncovered. Easy to get from parking area to hotel.
+ Safe area with relatively easy access to Memorial City area which has tons of restaurants/shopping.
+ Close to freeway but wasn't that loud.
+ Proactively upgraded in the app to Park Suite as Globalist.

- Rooms are fairly worn down. Wallpaper, carpet, drawers, everything seemed like it was about ready to fall apart at any moment. The bed was fine and moderately comfortable, and the AC worked well at least, but the rooms are in dire need of a renovation.
- Bathrooms were unpleasant. They were an okay size, but the shower took anywhere from 5-10 minutes to get warm (literally), and were shower/tub combinations.

Aside from the actual tired rooms, the rest of the hotel was pretty nice. I feel like they do a good job of globalist recognition, and it's a category 1 with a decent location and a gorgeous lobby. If they do a renovation of even just the bathrooms, I would gladly make this my go-to for Houston.
