I'm looking for some advice from this group, please, though I'm not strictly planning a TP run - more a trip optimisation for a family visit to New Zealand next year. The short version is - if ITA Matrix is showing a nice return fare, and the fare rules allow either free or $100/200 stopovers, if I call BA in Newcastle would they be able to amend the itinerary to include some stops at the appropriate rate, on the condition there is inventory in the correct fare bucket as needed?

My experience of such a routing is only on a DGLOB34, which is simple compared to a return fare.

The longer part, with an example, is a fare such as this:

Example EU-NZ routing.
This fare has an acceptable price, and an interesting routing - we'd likely spend 2-3 days in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

The fares are Finnair ones, with a code INN0S6CZ, so I'm aware this is an I class fare. From the guide on this forum, I think MH Z class is TP-earning but I'll double check.

For a fare such as this, the only routing restrictions are EU-ASIA must be on AY and HKG-NZ must be on CX or a AY codeshare. does this mean the return journey could route AKL-SYD (stopover)-KUL-SIN (stopover)-HEL-OSL so long as we stuck to MH Z class or I class on OW, with SIN-HEL being on AY metal and codes? If I wanted to push the TPs, I could add a layover (not stopover) in PER between SYD and KUL too...

The perfect routing would be a ticket allowing EU-LHR-DOH- SE ASIA - PER-SYD/BNE-NZ and back, ideally a BA ticket with BA codeshares and QR legs from Europe to SE Asia, so I'm crossing fingers such a routing becomes cheaper once we get past the initial filing period for these rough dates.

In terms of fare rules, the full ones are:

The pertinent bits would be:
Flight Restrictions (no issue, we'd use AY to go Europe-Asia and CX for HKG-NZ)

Stopovers (seems no restrictions if 4 or under in each direction)
